New Orleans and Beyond

I truly appreciate and enjoy photography. My favorite medium is black and white, I like the drama the lighting creates, my work is inspired by the black and white movies from the 1930’s through the 1950’s , I am still in awe of them.
Because I am in a wheelchair, my view level is slightly different than someone standing,
which gives my photos a different perspective.
About 30 years ago I stepped into New Orleans for the first time, I instantly felt like I had found a home away from home, a photographer’s paradise. Such a diverse and wonderful place, from the beautiful Caribbean influences of colorful houses to the neon nightlife of Bourbon Street. A city with neighborhoods that are filled with history and legends enhanced by the myths and lore, where anything is made plausible, thanks to the storyteller.
I only hope my photography can express some of that and bring fond memories back to those who have been there and fell in love with a city, like I did.
