This is without a doubt my very favorite Acrylic piece such sharpness, depth and contrast truly makes this print stand out.


THE PRINT STORY:
I recently took a day trip to Chicago with the intent of taking some photographs in the downtown area near Union Station. I had no idea how hilly downtown Chicago is, it was harder for me to navigate in my wheelchair than I thought it would be. Thankfully a friend was along to do some drone work, and gave me a hand on the steep inclines. But this area was fairly flat and close to the station, there is a nice little viewing area at the end of the bridge tucked out of the way of the sidewalk and street, perfect for using a tripod and not being in the way of foot traffic using the bridge to cross over the Chicago River.
From here you have a nice view of the river, the boat excursions, and some of the downtown buildings.
I chose to use a strong ND filter and so I was able to get a long exposure in order to eliminate the choppy water ( it is the Windy City after all )and bring a little drama to the scene.
It is truly one of my favorite photos, an Acrylic print hangs on my living room wall.
